Conn becomes the apprentice of the cranky wizard Nevery. He figures out that someone is stealing the magic of the town. Even though there is a map and appendices, this story never really came together for me.

A fake blackmail goes wrong. I think this is an expansion of one of those short stories I read. One of the best of the series I've read, so far.

I was hoping this was going to be girls, but instead, it is about a guy who is building bombs to blowup everyone who ever crossed him. Nameless goes fishing in the mountains. Of course, the bomb-guy is there.

Nameless tries to give a woman her deserved insurance payment, but she refuses the $50,000. What is up with that?

Expanded from a story in "Scenarios", an old Italian grandfather asks Nameless to look into what his granddaughter is up to. No good, is what it is.

Written with Barry N. Malzberg of twenty-five stories. Some were enjoyable, some were not of the kind I care for. I liked the Luna immigration inspector stories the most.

The Nameless Detective investigates why a reclusive woman leaves her job in the city and returns, secretively, to her father's farm. Nameless is nearly killed by the reason, of course.

Runyon goes to a small town to serve a subpoena, gets whacked on head. Kerry gets radiation for her cancer.
