I wish I knew more about writing so I could figure out why the second half of the story didn't work for me, but I don't and it didn't. Anyway, a young girl is sent to stay with a relative in a strange old stone house in New Hampshire while her mother is on her honeymoon with her new husband. Charming jacket illustration.
