The Puzzle lady is in an unlikely 12 Days Of Christimas production. The Virgin Mary gets murdered. First time I read this series, so let me get this straight; everybody thinks she can solve puzzles, but she can't? Huh? Several acrostics to be puzzled over. I like Stanley more, but the puzzles are interesting.

Stanley is hired to follow a guys estranged wife.

Stanley goes on vacation with Alice to an inn, where a girl drops dead of poison. Irritating dialogue with the police chief. Includes recipes!! .

Evidently (get it?) the first of the Stanley Hastings books. Pretty OK, not the best, but enjoyable.

Stanley is supposed to help a hitman not hit someone. Things go awry. I wasn't too excited by this one. I found the repartee confusing.

P.I. Stanley Hastings can't get out of jury duty. I like this guy!

P.I. Stanley Hastings is hired to find a blackmailer. Rather convaluted plot, I say. Neato ending.

A Puzzle Lady mystery. Cora and Sherry's friend Brenda somehow are planning a double wedding, Brenda to Sherry's abusive ex-spouse.

An P.I. in India investigates the murder of a servant girl, among other things. Pretty good.

(The Appeal, #1) I enjoyed reading this mystery, where nothing is revealed until the end, unless you are smart enough to figure it out. Which I am not. A plan to raise funds to help a child with cancer, some nurses who return from Africa, a doctor from Africa, and others, figure in this tale.

Poke is trying to adopt Miaow but vicious criminals cause problems.

Poke gets offered the opportunity to write a biography. He also gets threatened if he writes that biography. What to do? Good story!

A drug-addled former child star signs to do a porn film, not quite realizing what she is doing. Junior Bender is hired to find out who is sabotaging the film. Things get complicated.

Junior is "offered" a job investigating shoplifting at a decrepit mall. Pretty darn good, and it's a "Christmas" story, too.

Well, Junior needs to track down who is offing the members of a "chain". Some more nifty characters are met, relationships strengthened, and some touching philosophy expounded. I hope that's a real word.
