Bob Mayer is joint author. Lucy fills in for a movie director who had a heart attack at the request of her stunt co-ordinator ex-husband, falls in love with a Green Beret, and meets an alligator named Moot. And a really bad pun at the end.
I never thought Id say it, but I couldnt finish this book because it had too much sex. The first story, Hot Toy by Jennifer Crusie, was pretty good. The second story, Christmas Bonus by Lori Foster, was pretty boring and too much sex. The third story, Naughty Under The Mistletoe by Carly Phillips, was boring and looked like it was going to have too much sex, eventually. So I quit!
A woman find some unmentionables (not hers) in her husband's car. Very good funny tale, some hot sex, funny lines.
QUOTE:
Calm down. Be rational. Eat Chocolate. There was a good idea. Chocolate spurred the production of endorphins, which would calm her down, and was full of caffeine, which would give her the energy to kill her husband. The best of both worlds.
Two women go to Temptation to make a movie. Very good, funny, and sexy!

"I have to say," Phin said. "I don't think anybody we've talked to tonight has told you the truth about anything." ... "Welcome to the wonderful world of law enforcement," Wes said. --pg. 210.
In 1700s Scotland a girl, posing as a boy, is kidnapped by "spiriters" to colonial America and sold into bondage. Good story with interesting historical background.
I wish I knew more about writing so I could figure out why the second half of the story didn't work for me, but I don't and it didn't. Anyway, a young girl is sent to stay with a relative in a strange old stone house in New Hampshire while her mother is on her honeymoon with her new husband. Charming jacket illustration.
