Dan invents some stuff, gets ripped off by his co-workers, does a 30-year Long Sleep (not with his cat), finds a guy with a time machine, goes back in time 30 years, does the Long Sleep again (but with his cat), marries a girl. There you go!
I did not have high hopes for this novella but it was pretty wonderful! The worlds are beautifully built, and the dream theme wasn't overpowering to my senses, ha ha!
