All Systems Red

Wells, Martha
Book the first, I guess, of The Murderbot Diaries. A short book, fun and action-packed. I liked it very much, and I am reading the rest of 'em!

Roberts, Cokie
Pretty good but slow for me to read. Learned a bit about the early Ladies of the country.

The Maze At Windermere

Smith, Gregory Blake
Good books, not "staggeringly brilliant" if you ask me. Five story lines take place in Newport Rhode Island, during five timelines ranging from the 1600s to the 2000s.

Traveling Mercies

Lamott, Anne
This was a very wonderful book that I enjoyed very much. I wish I could hold her words in my heart, but I don't seem to work that way.

Heat Wave

Castle, Richard
Based on the television series, as a police/action story it is pretty good, but too much smoochie stuff for me.

The Joy Of Names

Lederer, Richard
Interesting book about names. I've heard the author speak on the radio and television so many times that I read the book in the author's voice. And I think I've heard a lot of this material before.

Double Blind

Johansen, Iris
Co-author Roy Johansen. A woman shot and hit by a car trying to deliver something to Kendra. Kendra and Lynch (and a bunch of others) try to figure out what is going on. Almost OK. Didn't care for it.
